Sampling

To fulfil the sampling brief, after consideration, I have chose to initially focus on a selection of birds, focusing primarily at the plumage in terms of tone, colour and form, with an aim to create specific qualities through the development of workshop samples and drawing.  Visually, I have visited The Manchester Museum, collecting images from the Zoology Collection; which will form the basis of my visual research and inform my primary drawings. In relation to the 'ordered/opposites' aspect of the brief, I have chosen the words 'calculated/chance', and will apply these in terms of the marks I make throughout this project.
